Mike Borrego and Tom Knapp Join Portable Computer Systems

DENVER, CO (December 10, 2008) — Portable Computer Systems, Inc. (PCS), a leading reseller of mobile data applications and wireless products is pleased to announce the addition of Mike Borrego as a Senior Wireless Systems Consultant and Tom Knapp as the Branch Services Supervisor/Senior Wireless Systems Technician in the PCS Corporate Office, located in Denver. Both Mike and Tom have joined PCS to support the recently announced addition of the M/A-COM product line from Tyco Electronics.

As a Senior Wireless Systems Consultant, Mike will provide sales and support for new radio systems design, system evaluation and assessment. He will also be responsible for new product evaluation and recommendations. Additionally, he will assist the services staff with customer and technical issues. Mike brings years of experience, most recently having been an Electronic Engineer II/DTR Project Manager for the State of Colorado, Division of Information Technologies. He has also had positions being a Senior Project Manager for Level (3) Communications and the Director of the Division of Telecommunications for the State of Colorado, among other things.

Mike obtained an Associate’s Degree in Communications Technology from Emily Griffith Technology School. He has also obtained a General Radiotelephone Operator License from the Federal Communications Commission along with numerous other special training certificates and qualifications. In his new position with Portable Computer Systems, Mike would like to “build the Land Mobile Radio Division of PCS into one of the leading sales and service providers.” Mike is a native Coloradoan and lives by the words “cover the earth before it covers you”.

Tom has joined PCS as the Branch Services Supervisor for the Denver, Kansas City and Omaha offices. He will be responsible for PCS’s newly launched radio services as the Senior Wireless Systems Technician. Previous positions include Radar Technician in the Air Force and later for Lockheed Martin. He also held the position of Communications Technician for the City and County of Denver. Tom’s educational background includes technical training and college classes.

When Tom is not working, he enjoys the company of his son, his two dogs and working on his house. He hopes to help PCS nurture the radio business into a full fledged, operational and profitable product. He is excited to be at PCS in a challenging position during the launch of the radio products and services lines.
